Storage capacity fix

A storage capacity bonus from a symbiont or mutation now applies to every gain, not just passive income. The action summary splits the action's cost from the passive income.

Unit recycling - and a real price for creating them

You can now shrink your army. Every unit type on the units page has a Recycle button: for 1 turn you dissolve any number of units and get 40 % of their price back. Passive units refund saccharides, prions refund proteins - always the resource you actually paid. The related change you will feel: unit production now really deducts saccharides. Creating one unit costs one turn of its own upkeep. Until now this amount was only checked and never charged - units were free to create and you paid only to feed them. Without that fix, recycling would have been a saccharide printer. Only free units can be recycled. Units locked in a market offer must be released by cancelling the offer first. While they sit there, you keep paying their upkeep.

A real market

The old marketplace worked like a classifieds board: you posted "100 proteins for 50 spores" and waited for someone to accept that exact deal. It has been replaced by an order book with a single currency — everything is bought and sold for saccharides. · When posting an offer you set a price per unit (to three decimal places), not a price for the whole bundle. · A purchase walks the book from the cheapest offer up and may consume several offers at once. You see the exact cost before you confirm, not an estimate. · Offers fill partially — whatever is left stays in the book. · You may keep at most 5 offers in the book at a time. · Fees: 3 % from the seller, 7 % from the buyer. Those saccharides leave the game for good. · Your goods are deducted the moment you post the offer. They come back either as saccharides (a sale) or as the original resource (cancelling the offer). · Careful: units sitting in an offer still cost you upkeep. The market is not free storage. · Saccharides are the currency and can no longer be traded as goods. All old offers have been cancelled and the resources returned to their sellers — they could not be carried over to the new book, as they had no price in saccharides.

Cytolysis — the new PvP mini-game

A standalone card mini-game has been added — a turn-based duel between two cells against a live opponent. · You start with a nucleus of 20, a membrane of 10 and five cards in hand. · On your turn you may play and discard as many cards as you like, then end the turn yourself. You get 60 seconds per turn; three missed turns in a row forfeit the match. · You win by destroying the opponent's nucleus, by mitosis (your own nucleus at 30), by metabolic dominance (production summing to 18), or when your opponent succumbs to nutrient depletion. That starts biting from round 20 and keeps growing, so no match can drag on forever. · If no live opponent turns up within 15 seconds, you will be offered a match against the computer. You can keep waiting either way. For now Cytolysis is purely for fun: it costs no turns, consumes no resources, and winning grants no rewards or bonuses in the main game. Only match results are recorded. Whether prizes get added depends on how the mini-game catches on.
